Iranian Qari Recites Quran in Ghana
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Prominent Iranian Qari Karim Mansouri who is in Ghana during the holy month of Ramadan attended a Quranic program in a Shia religious center in the African country.
Mansouri recited verses from the Holy Quran’s Surah Yusuf at the Lebanese Husseiniya (congregational hall).
He has been in Ghana since May 14 in a ten-day visit for reciting the Quran.
Ghana is a country in West Africa. Islam is one of the major religions practiced widely in the country. Its presence in modern-day Ghana dates back to the 10th century.
Muslims in Ghana make up about 24 percent of the population.
