The competition began in the capital Tunis on Saturday and the last batch of contenders went on the stage to showcase their talents on Monday, according to the journalistesfaxien.tn website.
The last batch included contestants from Tunisia, Yemen, Lebanon and Morocco in the category of memorization of the entire Quran and those from Lebanon, Russia, Tunisia and Algeria in Tajweed recitation.
Representatives of 21 countries have attended this edition of the contest. Hossein Poorkavir is competing for Iran in memorization of the entire Quran.
The Al-Zaytuna Mosque in Tunis will host the closing ceremony on Friday.
