Ayatollah Khamenei Offers Condolences on Cleric’s Demise
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei offered his condolences over the demise of senior cleric Ayatollah Seyed Mahdi Khalkhali.
In a message on Monday, the Leader described late Ayatollah Khalkhali as an outstanding Faqih (jurisprudent) and a great teacher who did precious services to the country’s Islamic seminaries and religious circles.
Ayatollah Khamenei expressed condolences to the cleric’s family and his students.
Born in the northeastern holy city of Mashhad in 1924, Hojat-ol-Islam
Ayatollah Khalkhali, who was a senior scholar at the Islamic Seminary of Mashhad, passed away on Saturday at the age of 95.
