Senior Cleric Ayatollah Khalkhali Laid to Rest in Mashhad
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A funeral was held for prominent Iranian cleric Ayatollah Seyed Mahdi Khalkhali in the northeastern city of Mashhad on Monday.
A large number of people, including seminary scholars and students, attended the funeral.
Ayatollah Khalkhali, who was a senior scholar at the Islamic Seminary of Mashhad, passed away on Saturday at the age of 95.
