Winners of Quran Competition in Egypt’s Alexandria Awarded

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Top participants at a Quran competition in Alexandria, Egypt, were announced and awarded in a ceremony held by the city’s Office for Social Solidarity.

 

According to Al-Dastoor newspaper, memorization of the entire Quran, memorization of 22, 15 and 7 Juzes (parts) of the Quran and memorization of the 30th Juz were the categories of the competition.

Sha’ban Abdullah, Mahmoud Seyyed Ahmad and Mustafa Abdulsabour respectively won the first to the third ranks in memorization of the entire Quran and were awarded an Umrah pilgrimage package, 5000 and 4500 Egyptian Pounds and trophies.

The three winners in memorization of 22 Juzes were Asma Hassan Esmail, Muhammad Sha’ban Muhammadin and Hibatullah Muhammad Samir who were respectively awarded 4500, 4000 and 3500 Egyptian pounds and trophies.

Ahmad Ibrahim Foad Ahmad, Rawza Hisamuddin Abdulmuhsin and Asma Muhammad Sabri were the top winners in memorization of 15 Juzes of the Quran. They were awarded 3500, 3000 and 2500 Egyptian Pounds and trophies.

Amira Mahmoud Eid Bayumi and Hunain Muhammad Hassan Hassanain came first and second in memorization of 7 Juzes and were awarded 2500 and 2000 Egyptian Pounds and trophies.

The winners of the last category were Maryam Ismail Ahmad, Yahya Ahmad Ali Hassan and Lara Muhammad Abdulhalim.

The competition was organized by Alexandria’s Awqaf (Endowments) Office.
