Speaking to IQNA, Raed Fawzi Ihmoud said Palestine is one of the most important issues in the Muslim world today and it is also something that can unite Muslim countries.
He said Palestinians need more than rhetorical support, adding that their demands should be supported at international scenes.
The Palestinians want to take back their motherland and this requires real support from all Muslim countries, Ihmoud said.
He also referred to the International Muslim Unity Conference, which was held in Tehran in November, and said such events could help solve the differences among Muslim on different subjects.
Themed “Ummah unity in defending the al-Aqsa Mosque,” the 33rd International Islamic Unity Conference was held in Tehran, with 350 personalities from 93 countries in attendance.
Marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), it is held annually in an effort to lay the ground for stronger unity and solidarity among Muslims and provide solutions for their problems.
