Kuwait Reports First COVID-19 Death

TEHRAN (IQNA) –  Kuwait recorded on Saturday its first death from the coronavirus outbreak.

State news agency KUNA reported the death, citing a health ministry spokesman.

The total number of people diagnosed with the disease increased by 62 in the past 24 hours to 479 cases, he said, according to KUNA, Reuters reported.

The number of people who have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus, or COVID-19, globally has topped 1,2 million as the pandemic continues to spread around the world.

So far, more than 60,000 people have died from the disease.
