Iran Nat’l Quran Contest to Be Held Online

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Head of the Quranic Affairs Center of Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization said this year’s national Quran competition will be organized online.

 

Mehdi Qarasheikhlu said it had been planned to be in-person but given the rise in recent days in the number of coronavirus cases, the decision was made that the competition go online.

He noted that the provincial stage of the contest has concluded in the country’s 31 provinces as scheduled.

The national stage is slated to be held in the month of Aban (October-November), the official added

Iran’s national Quran competition is annually held with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.

It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in society.
