Karbala Shrines Decorated on Occasion of Mid-Sha’aban

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala, Iraq, have been decorated on the birthday anniversary of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his glad advent).

According to the website of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine, the mausoleum has been decorated with flowers, candles and lights.

Flowers, lights and flags have also been used to decorate the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) on the auspicious occasion.

This year, Mid-Sha’aban, the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar that marks the birthday of the twelfth Imam (AS), falls on Monday, March 29.
