Nabawi Seerah to Be Taught in Pakistan’s Schools

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Pakistan’s Minister of Religious Affairs said the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) will be included in the school books in the country.

 

Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadiri said that the Pakistani government is committed to getting the younger generation acquainted with Quranic and Islamic teachings.

He was speaking at the closing ceremony of the national Quran memorization contest and honored the top Quran memorizers of the country.

The minister highlighted the importance of Quran memorizing and lauded the participants at the Quranic event and their parents, saying they will have a great status in the hereafter.

Stressing that the love for the Holy Quran should be strengthened in the Islamic Ummah, he said that Pakistan’s Prime Minister also highlights the necessity for dissemination of Quranic and Nabawi teachings.

He added that the government has prepared a copy of the Holy Quran with an Urdu translation for teaching in schools.
