TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 9th day of the lunar Hijri month of Dhul Hajja is known as the Day of Arafah.

On this day, which comes ahead of Eid al-Adha, Hajj pilgrims stay at the Plain of Arafat from noon to sunset in a ritual known as “Wuquf at Arafat”.

Arafah is a great and important day for Muslims in which acts like saying prayers, reciting supplications and Tawba (repentance) have been recommended. Many recite the Ziarat Of Imam Hussein (AS) on this day.
