Selected Iranian Quran Activists Honored

TEHRAN (IQNA) –  The 26th edition of a ceremony to honor top Iranian Quran activists was held on Monday evening in Tehran.

 

The function was attended by a number of Quranic, religious and cultural officials, including Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyed Abbas Salehi.

Twelve senior Quran activists were honored at the ceremony.

They included Hossein Akhavan Moqaddam in the field of Quran teaching, Mohammad Taqi Haqbin in Quranic productions, Karim Parchebaf Dolati in management of Quranic affairs, Mehdi Hassani in Quran memorization, and Mohammad Ali Rezaei Esfehani in Quran interpretation and translation.

There were also Abolfazl Khazaei in Quran scribing, Hashem Roghani in Quran recitation, and Abdol Hadi Feqhizadeh in Quran research and management, Rasoul Fallah Zargaran in Quranic software production, Mohammad Reza Mosayyebzadeh in Quranic affairs management, Seyed Mohammad Davood Mirbaqeri in Quranic arts, and Ami Mahmoud Kashefi in Quran teaching.

Salehi in an address hailed the organization of the ceremony during the Wilayat Occasion (period between Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Ghadir) and on the birth anniversary of Imam Hadi (AS), the 10 Shia Imam.

He also underlined the development of Quranic activities in different fields such as research translation, Tafseer, memorization, recitation and competitions since the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
