Tehran Province Quran Contest: Winners Announced

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The provincial stage of Iran’s 44th national Quran competition concluded in Tehran province on Friday.

 

The panel of judges announced the winners of different categories, after the end of this round.

According to the panel, Mohammad Hossein Behzadfar, Mohammad Reza Hedayati and Mohammad Diyanat were the winners of the three top titles in memorization of the entire Quran.

In recitation, Vahid Khazei came first, Mojtaba Mohammadbeigi was the runner-up and Mohammad Hossein Qasrizadeh won the third place.

According to the Quranic Affairs Center of Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, this round will continue in different provinces until September 21 and winners will make it to the national stage.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s national Quran competition is annually held by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.

It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in the society.

The categories of the contest include memorization, recitation and interpretation of the Holy Quran.
