The competition was organized by the Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussain (AS) holy shrine, Qaaf news agency reported.
Amal al-Matouri, the head of the center’s women Quranic activities section, said 35 female students from universities in Iraq and a number of other Arab countries took part in the competition.
She said a committee of experts from Iraq, Lebanon and Kuwait evaluated the stories and selected the winners of the contest, which was held under the title of “My Story with a Verse of Quran”.
The center will soon publish the selected stories in a book, al-Matouri added.
She said they will also be made available on the center’s social media accounts.
She went on to say that the competition was aimed at identifying talents and encouraging them to write Quranic stories.
