Muslims’ Unity Best Path to Counter Takfirism
Speaking in the opening ceremony of the 35 International Conference on Islamic Unity via videoconference, the Mufti of Zagreb added that Muslims are duty-bound to take steps in the path of boosting unity in the Islamic community and avoid tension and conflict.
As far as innocent Muslims are being killed, one cannot claim true unity, he stressed.
Pointing to Takfiri terrorist groups, he lamented that these terrorists commit crimes and wage wars and kill Muslims using the name of God and Islam.
The Islamic Ummah should counter these extremist groups by establishing unity, added the President of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in the Republic of Croatia.
The world of Islam is a land of friendship and kindness and Muslims should not let arrogant sow discord and division in the Ummah, he said
Elsewhere in his remarks, Hasanović lauded the efforts made by late Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri for proximity of Islamic schools.
