Tanzania Branch of Al-Mustafa Int’l Uni. Starts New Academic Year

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Al-Mustafa International University’s branch in Tanzania started the new academic year on Saturday.

 

The new academic year was marked in a ceremony that was attended by dozens of students as well as Muslim scholars.

Prominent figures of Dar es Salaam from Sunni, Shia, and Khoja backgrounds participated in the event along with students from other seminary schools such as Imam Sadegh (AS) seminary among other centers.

The ceremony started with recitation of some Quranic verses by Al-Mustafa graduate Sheikh Hossein Bouki followed by national anthems of Tanzania and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

A host of officials addressed the event, including the head of the branch Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Taghavi. Taghavi also read a message issued by the President of Al-Mustafa International University Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Abbasi.

Al-Mustafa International University is a religious and Islamic university established to expand and introduce Islamic and religious teachings in the world through modern facilities and technologies.

It is a scholarly and educational institution that like other such institutions strives to develop thought and help society and humanity.

It is known internationally and has trained many prominent scholars and researchers.
