Competition Held to Select Iran’s Best Teenage Qari

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The final stage of a competition for choosing the best teenager Quran reciter of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held here in the capital on Friday.

The Sahebalzamani Hosseiniya (religious center) in Tehran hosted the event as well as a competition to choose the best Tarteel reciter of the country.

A number of senior Quran experts were also present at the events to serve as members of the panels of arbiters.

They included Hossein Fardi, Masoud Sayyah Gorji, Saeed Parvizi, Hossein Toroqi and Mohsen Yarahamadi.

Ten teenagers competed to win the top prize and be named the best teenage qari of Iran in the current year.

In Tarteel recitation, there were 15 finalists who showed their Quranic talents and skills.  

The winners in both competitions will be announced in a ceremony in the holy month of Ramadan (April).
