Int’l Quran Exhibition Wraps Up in Karbala

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An international Quran exhibition that opened on March 5 in Iraq’s Karbala wrapped up on Tuesday.

The exhibition was staged at Bain-ul-Haramain, an area between the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS), on the occasion of World Quran Day.

The event put on display different works related to the Holy Quran including five historic handwritten Qurans, 63 historic artworks related to the Quran, and 46 copies of the Quran published in various countries.

Some of the displayed data-x-items had been gathered from other countries including Syria, Iran, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Bahrain, Turkey, Malaysia, Brunei, Libya, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Morocco, Germany, and France.

According to Montazer Hassan, an official with the exhibition, a total of 20 Arab and non-Arab countries participated in the event.

The exhibition had different booths, including one for teaching correct reading of the Quran to visitors.

Officials had said that the exhibition could continue work for 10 days depending on some conditions but decided to put an end to it after four days.
