Organizers, Participants in Karbala Int’l Quran Expo Honored

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Those contributing to the organization of an international Quran exhibition in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, and participants in the expo were honored at the closing ceremony.

According to the expo’s media affairs deputy, Ala Ziaeddin and Sheikh Hassan al-Mansouri, officials of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine, presented the organizers and officials of the pavilions with certificates of honor and appreciation.

The exhibition was staged at Bain-ul-Haramain, an area between the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS), on the occasion of the World Quran Day.

It put on display different works related to the Holy Quran, including five historic handwritten Qurans, 63 historic artworks related to the Quran, and 46 copies of the Quran published in various countries.

Some of the displayed data-x-items had been gathered from other countries including Syria, Iran, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Bahrain, Turkey, Malaysia, Brunei, Libya, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Morocco, Germany, and France.
