Cheikh Ali Ben Salah Hamouda made the remark in an address to the opening ceremony of the 40th International Conference on Islamic Unity, held in Tehran on Thursday.

He congratulated the birth anniversaries of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS) and welcomed the scholars and intellectuals present at the ceremony.

God has repeatedly referred to and emphasized unity among Muslims in numerous verses of the Holy Quran, he stated.

He added that from the perspective of God Almighty, the Islamic Ummah is the best society and is worthy of leading the world.

It is obligatory for all Muslims to gather around a single axis and follow the path and path of our beloved Prophet (PBUH), he underlined.

Hamouda said that in other verses of the Holy Quran, it is stated that Muslims should act beyond all differences and remain brothers to each other, regardless of skin color, religion, etc.

“In Niger, we witnessed all the events that happened to the Muslim people of the Islamic Republic of Iran and we observed the struggle of the Mujahideen and the leaders of this Islamic country,” he further said.

He concluded by emphasizing that the best society that can reach the peak of prosperity is a society that maintains its Islamic unity and cohesion.

Organized with the main theme of “Islamic Unity in the Thought of the Martyr Imam”, the international conference has been attended by prominent religious, scholarly and political figures from 40 countries.
