“The lie of America’s defense of countries and the philosophy of its bases were exposed during the recent war. What is the benefit of these bases, for which tens of billions of dollars have been spent?” Muhammad Al-Hindi stated, Palestine Today reported.

The results of the current conflict will shape the political future of the region for decades to come, just like what happened in 1948, he stated.

He further said the Palestinian nation, which is facing continuous occupation and aggression, does not need anyone's permission.

“Arab and Islamic countries have left Palestine alone, and the residents of the Gaza Strip have been patient for a long time and can no longer tolerate more killing, hunger and humiliation.”

Al-Hindi said consultations between Palestinian factions and groups are being held with the aim of supporting a single national list and uniting the ranks to face challenges.

He added: The current elections do not respond to the demands of the Palestinian people, but rather seize the people’s right to self-determination.

He said the Islamic Jihad has called for the postponement of the elections until a comprehensive agreement is reached to reform and redesign the Palestine Liberation Organization.

He went on to say that the Islamic Jihad movement will not have any candidates in the elections, but will support any list that is agreed upon.
