The commission issued a statement announcing that it strongly condemns the brutal crime of the American enemy in attacking a wedding in Iran, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of civilians.

This brutal attack is a full-fledged war crime and a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions; conventions that consider attacking civilian targets and safe residential areas a crime.

The statement continued by saying that the Yemeni National Human Rights Commission strongly condemns this treacherous and criminal aggression by the US and holds the terrorist US government responsible for shedding innocent blood and creating terror among civilians.

The statement called for an immediate and independent international investigation into this crime and for the trial and punishment of the perpetrators in international courts, calling it a crime against humanity and a war crime.

Following the attack by American criminals on residential areas and a wedding ceremony in the city of Kohstak, Sirik County in Iran’s southern province of Hormozgan, Ahmad Nafisi, Deputy Governor of Hormozgan for Political, Security and Social Affairs, said 4 people have been martyred and 50 others have been injured in the strike.
