Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) were a source of guidance and mercy for all humanity.

Atta Tarar said Allah Almighty had described the status and stature of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the Holy Quran, while the Holy Quran itself was among the great miracles bestowed upon him.

He said the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings continued to provide lasting guidance for humanity and had also inspired people belonging to other faiths.

Referring to the writings and poetry of non-Muslim authors, including a Sikh poet from the subcontinent, the minister said love and admiration for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was not confined to any particular religion or group.

He stressed that society needed to draw greater guidance from the Seerah in the present era and make the Prophet’s (PBUH) exemplary life part of daily conduct.

Atta Tarar said following the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings would help promote brotherhood, tolerance, justice and humanity in society.
