IQNA – The Al-Warith Publishing House affiliated with the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine announced the completion of the production of 51,000 copies of the Holy Quran with highest scientific and artistic standards in Iraq.

According to the Iraqi Noon News Agency, this project, which lasted two and a half years, was implemented with the aim of reducing dependence on imported copies of the Holy Quran.
Montazer Saleh, the general supervisor of the Al-Warith Foundation, said this project was launched with the aim of meeting the needs of Iraqi libraries and mosques and relying on the capabilities of domestic forces.
He emphasized that, based on the orders of Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalayi, the religious custodian of the Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine, this Quran was prepared with great precision and based on the manuscript in the handwriting of Uthman Taha.
Referring to the high sensitivity of the production stages, he said each page of this Quran has been examined separately in three stages (before printing, during printing, and after printing); in such a way that even each line and word has been carefully monitored to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
As for artistic features, he said that, unlike the usual patterns, the symbolic image of the dome and spires of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) has been used in the interior design of this edition.

He also said that after the success of printing the book “Zad al-Mutaqeen”, this project was implemented on a large scale by the order of the religious custodian of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) to reach the goal of 100,000 copies, and has successfully passed the trial stages of 100 and 500 copies.
Saleh went on to say that after submitting a report on the success of the first stages to Sheikh al-Karbalayi, permission was issued to print another 10,000 copies, and this process continued in several stages.
“So far, 51,000 copies of the Holy Quran have been printed, including various versions in different sizes, and this center is still on track to achieve the goal of printing 100,000 copies.”
