IQNA – Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei repeatedly emphasized that Muslim unity is not a choice, but a strategic necessity and part of the “national security and the existence of the Islamic Ummah.”

This was emphasized by the guests present at the Al-Kawthar Global Network’s Al-Wajh al-Akhir program, who examined new dimensions of the Prophet’s life in the thought of the martyred Leader.
The program, which was aired on Friday night, was attended by Hojat-ol-Islam Sadeq Akhavan from the Qom Seminary and Mansour Mandour, an Egyptian thinker from the Al-Azhar Islamic Center.
One of the most important points raised was a new reading of the personality of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The guests emphasized that Imam Khamenei, contrary to the common view that introduces the Messenger of God only in the form of an emotional and spiritual figure, portrays him as “the Imam and the leader of a great project of liberation, civilization and value”.
Based on this view, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a model and example not only for spirituality, but also for managing all aspects of human life (politics, economy, culture, war, peace and governance), they said.
Furthermore, it was emphasized that the life of the Messenger of God (PBUH) is full of practical lessons for honor, dignity, jihad, morality and most importantly unity.
In this context, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasizes that Islam cannot stand against arrogance without power and unity, they said.
In this program, the noble verse “Severe against the infidels, merciful among themselves” (Surah Al-Fath: 29) was cited as the Quranic basis for this view that being severe against enemies and having “mercy and kindness” among believers are the two main wings of the power of the Islamic Ummah.
Another very important issue addressed in this program was the central role of Islamic unity in the martyred Leader’s thought.
According to the scholars present, Imam Khamenei repeatedly emphasized that unity is not a choice, but a strategic necessity and part of national security and the existence of the Islamic Ummah.
The Al-Azhar scholar said that Islamic unity can even precede prayer in terms of importance because the Quran considers the call to a "single row" as a prelude to victory and salvation, and prayer is also a means to create this unity.

Furthermore, referring to the statements of the martyred Leader, it was emphasized that if the Islamic Ummah had been united, Palestine would never have been occupied and the arrogant powers would not have dared to attack Islamic countries.
The scholars present in the program emphasized the need for scholars and religious centers to reread the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) life story, and considered Imam Khamenei's interpretation of the Prophet's life story to be a revival of Islamic thought and a return to the original identity of the nation.
