The radio station said in a post on Monday, “For the first time on the radio waves, a rare audio Quran recitation from the heritage of the Minshawi family will be broadcast. Listen to a rare recitation by Sheikh Sidiq Sayed Minshawi tonight on the evening Quran program."

Egyptian Quran Radio explained that this rare recitation will also be available on the website and application of the Holy Quran Radio from Cairo.

The broadcast of this recitation is part of the media's efforts to make rare recordings of the Egyptian recitation heritage available and highlight the voices of qaris who have had a significant impact on the history of Quran recitation.

Sheikh Sidiq Sayed Tayeb Minshawi was born in 1898 in the city of Minshawi in the Sohag province of Egypt. He began memorizing the Quran with his father, who was a Quran reciter and had a lot of knowledge.

He completed memorizing the Quran at the age of 9. Then he moved to Cairo and learned the science of recitation from Sheikh Masoudi, who was one of the famous reciters in Egypt at that time.
