“The Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms its principled and steadfast position regarding the necessity of respecting Yemen's national sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the need to end the illegal and inhumane blockade of the country,” the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

“Undoubtedly, security and stability in West Asia and the Red Sea region cannot be achieved without upholding the legitimate rights and dignity of the great people of Yemen.”

It added that current events in Yemen cannot be viewed in isolation from developments over the past decade.

“The great and noble people of Yemen—heirs to a brilliant, historic civilization who have always played a decisive and proud role in regional and global history—have the right to live a dignified life free from pressure, intimidation, and oppressive blockades, and to have their national sovereignty and territorial integrity fully respected.”

The Iranian Foreign ministry emphasized the necessity of prioritizing the interests of the Islamic Ummah—particularly at a time when the West Asia region faces the malice, oppression, and unprecedented expansionism of the Zionist regime, abetted by the United States— and said the Islamic Republic of Iran reiterates that resolving issues related to Yemen is not possible through continued blockades or military alignments.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran stresses the need for the immediate resumption of dialogue based on the agreed-upon roadmap and the implementation of its provisions, and stands ready to offer its good offices to facilitate this process,” the statement concluded.
