They managed to learn the entire Quran by heart after participating in an intensive 75-day program at Sabahattin Zaim University in Istanbul, the New Turk Post news portal reported.

The program was organized by Sabahattin Zaim University in collaboration with Turkey’s Knowledge Dissemination Foundation (Yaygın Eğitim Vakfı).

The students received certificates of Quran memorization completion following the intensive program.

The certificate presentation ceremony took place on the university campus in Istanbul's Halkalı district, attended by representatives from the university and the foundation, local officials, and the students’ families.

The event featured Quran recitations and speeches by participants, followed by the awarding of certificates to the graduates.

Necmettin Bilal Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Knowledge Dissemination Foundation, said in his speech that the project has developed an intensive method that combines speed of memorization, comprehension of meaning, and the application of traditional musical modes (maqamat).

This is the description provided by the program organizers, he said, adding that it does not constitute an independent academic assessment of the method's efficacy compared to other memorization techniques.

Erdoğan said the foundation has allocated a facility in Istanbul’s Eyüp Sultan district for a center dedicated to research and the practical application of Quran memorization.

The center is expected to focus on studying memorization methods, their educational and academic aspects, and the development of related programs, he stated.
