IQNA – A high-quality, encyclopedic photo album featuring mosques in Bulgaria has been published in four languages.

Published by the Islamic Mashikiat Center of Bulgaria, it documents 140 mosques, detailing their history, architectural features, restoration processes, and current religious activities, according to the Muslimsaroundtheworld website.
The album is presented in a premium format featuring professional photographs of the mosques. It provides information on the history, architectural characteristics, and restoration stages of each mosque, as well as their contemporary religious activities.
The content is produced in four languages—Bulgarian, Turkish, English, and Arabic—offering researchers and readers insight into a significant aspect of Islamic architectural history in Bulgaria.
This album is the result of a two-year field project. During this period, a team from the Islamic Mashikiat Center of Bulgaria traveled across the country's cities and villages, visiting and photographing 278 mosques; ultimately, 140 were selected for inclusion in the album.
The significance of this work lies in its approach: it does not view the mosque merely as an architectural monument isolated from its community. Instead, it presents the building's history alongside its current state—covering architecture, ornamentation, restoration, and religious activities.
This visual encyclopedia highlights the value of the mosque as a key element of the cultural and social landscape of Bulgaria's Muslim community—a place where worship, education, and social bonds converge. In this encyclopedic album, the stories of the 140 mosques go beyond mere photographs and summaries.

The work offers a visual interpretation of the Islamic heritage present in the heart of Europe. It is, in essence, a documentary project that transforms the mosque into a meeting point—between history, place, and people, and between memory, reality, and the future.
