IQNA – More than 300 illegal settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces, the al-Quds Governorate said.

It came on Sunday, coinciding with what is referred to as the “Jewish New Year”.
In a press statement, the Governorate explained that the settlers conducted provocative tours within the mosque's courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals.
They occurred amidst tightened security measures by occupation forces in the vicinity of the mosque and the Old City, coinciding with calls from so-called "Temple groups" to intensify incursions during the "Jewish New Year" period.
