Members of Iran's Quranic community plan to organize a rally in support of the Palestinian people's resistance in the Gaza Strip.

The rally will be held in Tehran's Palestine Square on Saturday, August 9, the website of the Union of Quran and Etrat Institutes reported.
A number of Quran reciters, memorizers, Quran activists and managers of Quranic institutes wil attend the event, which is aimed at condemning the Zionist regime's atrocities in the Palestinian coastal enclave.
Israel unleashed a massive offensive on the Gaza Strip on July 8. Nearly 1,900 people have been killed and over 9,500 others injured by the Zionist regime’s four-week attacks on the coastal enclave.
Palestinian fighters also fired more than 3,000 rockets into Israel in response to Israel’s attacks. The Israeli military says 64 of its soldiers have been killed in the conflict, but the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas says the death toll is over 150.
