Youth Neglected in Quranic Society
Quran activities group: Not only do the youth lack a proper position in the Quranic society, but also are neglected by the authorities.
Abbas Hashemi, Quran reciter and instructor in Bushehr, told Iqna: The only role of the youth nowadays is reading Quran. The concerned authorities lack the proper knowledge and approach to utilize youth potentials properly.
Hashemi added: The Quranic community still lacks the existence of a head and whatever has been said about this so far has been but slogans. The authorities only chant mottoes and many a time neutralize each other's activities by parallelism.
He asserted: At the time being the youth are absolutely ignored and stems form the deplorable, but undeniable fact that Quran, which shows the proper way of life to human, is given a marginal stature.
He concluded: The prophet always chose his commanders from among those who had Quranic knowledge and did not heed age and experience. This shows the prophet's profound understanding.
