--The Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought issuing a statement called the world Qods day a symbol of Islamic unity and the resistance of the oppressed against the arrogant.
The statement reads: Qods is the city of peace where the holy Prophet (PBUH) began his Ascension to Heaven and the Masjid-ol-Aqsa is Muslims’ first Qibla, the second place of worship for the monotheists in the world, and the third holy place in the world after the holy Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina.

The world Qods day is the manifestation of the glory of the Muslim Ummah, a day for all the truth-seeking and justice-loving people of the world and a great backing for the oppressed people of Palestine against the Zionists.

Imam Khomeini’s declaring the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the world Qods day manifests his foresight. This was a measure which caused more than half a century of efforts by Israel and the US to face failure.

Today, Muslims around the world ought to put aside their differences and strive to defend Islam, Quran and the holy Ka’ba and never allow the enemies to create discord among them.

The Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought expressing its fury at the atrocities of the Zionist regime and the world arrogance and calling for massive turnout at the rallies on the world Qods day, regarded the Qods day as a sign of Muslims’ unity and resistance against the conspiracies of the world arrogance.
