World More Apt Now to Accept Teachings of Islam

--In a message to the Union of Shiite Preachers and Scholars in Europe, grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi said that the world is more apt than before to accept Islam and the teachings of Ahl-ol-Beit (holy Prophet’s Household).
The grand Ayatollah called on Shiite scholars to take the opportunity and present the lofty teachings of the holy religion of Islam to the world.

Extending congratulations on the formation of the Union of Shiite Preachers and Scholars in Europe, he said that founding such a union which was an unprecedented and historic move was a source of elation.

“I hope that you dear scholars who are coming from various Islamic countries can take great and effective steps in logically propagating Islam and the teachings of Ahl-ol-Beit all over Europe,” he said.

“Islam is the religion of understanding and fraternity and is opposed to any division and discord. According to the holy Quran (15:47) fraternity is the characteristic of the people who belong to Heaven, whereas those who maintain hatred belong to Hell.
Therefore, I ask you dear preachers and scholars to invite Muslims to this Islamic principle of unity and fraternity and make it known that Muslims from all ethnic backgrounds and from all countries and continents ought to unite and defend Islam and the teachings Great prophet and Ahl-ol-Beit,” he added.

The grand Shiite source of emulation noted that in order for Muslims to be insured against the waves of thought and moral onslaughts, there should be motivating sessions held for people of all ages to elevate their level of religious culture by acquainting them with the lofty teachings of the holy Quran, Nahj-ol-Balaqa and the Hadiths of Ahl-ol-Beit.
