--The teachings of the holy Quran need to be applied to all fields in an Islamic society, according to a Quran activist.
Abbas Salimi, Iran's veteran Quran activist, made the remarks while delivering a speech at the 11th Assembly of Tehran Quran Reciters and Activists, held on February 14.
He added that the Quranic community ought not to limit the scope of its activities to merely recitation of the holy Quran, for the Quran is the book of all sciences and is replete with principles of all fields in an Islamic society.
He pointed out in his speech that “Physics is the science concerned with the study of physical objects and substances, and of natural forces such as light, heat, and movement which are mentioned in the Glorious Quran”.
He said that all issues related to spiritual and material worlds have their traces in the Book of God.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he urged all Quran activists to do their best in order to attract the youths to the Quran and Islam adding that the bullying powers are constantly striving to incite Islamophobia in Muslim countries.
He went on to say that it is incumbent upon all Quran activists to fully introduce the teachings and concepts of the Quran to the society especially the youths so that they would be able to fulfill their duty.
The Iranian Quran activist and reciter went on to say that government officials should also prepare the ground for organizing more Quran activities all across the country.
