-- The Quranic plan called “Recitation of Light” (Talawat-e-Noor) is helping to eradicate Quran illiteracy from the society thanks to its durability, according to an expert.
Deputy Director of Mosque-Affiliated Art and Culture Centers , Mohammad Reza Jafari, compares the Holy Quran to an endlessly profound ocean: “The deeper one dives into it, the more he can take advantage of it.”
Speaking at a session about the outcomes of “Recitation of Light” plan in the society, he called the plan necessary for promoting Quranic Knowledge among individuals and pointed out the plan could result in considerable achievements even within a definite period of time.
Putting emphasis on the philosophy of learning the Sacred Scripture, he noted that it was absolutely necessary for every Muslim to properly get acquainted with “the unique everlasting miracle descended from the Heaven.”
Considering the plan as one of the most successful projects of the sort, Jafari affirmed such an experience could be applied by other Muslim states in the world.
“Up to 500000 copies of the Holy Quran have so far been donated to those mosques getting involved with the plan,” he noted, adding that many applicants especially the youth have been motivated to take part in the plan in order to read and understand the Noble Book.
“Once Quran-based activities spread in mosques, morality and virtue will be gradually disseminated in the Iranian community,” he stressed.
