The holy Mus'haf of Hazrat Zahra (AS) is a hidden treasure of divine sciences and secrets disclosed to the daughter of the Holy Prophet (AS) by Gabriel (the Messenger of Revelation) and is a proof to Imamat left for the Infallibles (AS).
It is now kept by Imam-e Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent) as the only person who has access to this invaluable treasure.
Some researchers believe that ‘Mus'haf’ used to refer to the Quran in the advent of Islam and could not signify Hazrat-e Fatemeh’s (SA) book; whereas others maintain that the word was used for any book or pamphlet and then gradually devoted to the Holy Book.
Anyway, Hazrat-e Fatemeh (SA) is known to have left her divine knowledge for the Infallibles (AS) in a book which has nothing to do with the Quran and, as a result, cannot be used by the deviants to distort the Word of God.
It is believed that the Mus'haf was disclosed to Hazrat-e Fatemeh (SA) between the demise of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and her martyrdom, and written down by Imam Ali (AS).
It describes the lofty status of the Prophet (PBUH) in Heaven as well as the future events awaiting her children, and is aptly regarded as a proof of Imamat.
There are also references to the names and number of God’s creatures and heavenly angels, names of His messengers, believers and disbelievers from the beginning of Creation to the end of the world, the history of the past nations and oppressing rulers, the characteristics of the residents of heaven and Hell, as well as the knowledge of the Holy Quran, the New and Old Testaments and other sacred books.
This divine treasure also includes Hazrat-e Fatemeh’s (SA) will, things that are expected to happen in the future, and the names of all prophets and the Infallibles (AS).
According to Shia Hadiths, Hazrat-e Fatemeh (SA) gave the Mus'haf to Imam Ali (AS) and it has been kept by the Imams (AS) one after the other ever since, and is currently preserved by Imam-e Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent).
