Interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran urged that the slogan of the year, namely ‘National Production, Support for Iranian Labor and Capital’ be clarified from the perspective of the Islamic culture.
Addressing worshippers in Tehran on Friday, Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani added that special attention should also be given to the slogan in practice.
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei named the current Iranian year (started March 20) as ‘Year of National Production, Support for Iranian Labor and Capital’.
Ayatollah Emami Kashani also said supporting Iranian labor and capital should turn into a culture in society.
He referred to verse 61 of Surah Hud, “…He (God) has produced you from the earth and settled you in it…”, saying the verse signifies that man should work for the land he lives in.
Elsewhere in his Friday sermon, member of the Experts Assembly referred to the upcoming talks between Iran and the P5+1 group (Russia, China, US, UK, France and Germany) in Baghdad, stressing that the group should adopt a rational approach in the talks.
He said following Istanbul talks, western university scholars, especially in the US, said America ought to lift sanctions against Iran because the Islamic Republic has been cooperating in the nuclear issue, but Washington refused to remove the sanctions. “This indicates that the American government either lacks honesty or has chosen to be obstinate.”
Ayatollah Emami Kashani noted that while the West has gotten nowhere with the sanctions, Iran has made progress (as a result of sanctions).
He reiterated that the Islamic Republic’s establishment is steadfast in its stances and that the Iranian people maintain their solidarity and move on the path of Velayat.
Tehran’s interim Friday prayer leader also pointed to the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA) and extending congratulations on the auspicious occasion, elaborated on the lofty status of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) beloved daughter.
