The first Festival of Quranic Fruits is underway in Tehran’s Mosalla until November 4.
The festival features workshops, seminars, exhibits, and programs featuring the fruits mentioned in the Holy Quran, namely pomegranate, olive, and fig.
50 booths at the festival are devoted to pomegranate and 50 others to fig and olive while there are other booths featuring dates and grapes, as these two fruits are known as fruits from heaven.
There will be forums during the festival discussing the medicinal values of fig, grapes and pomegranate while other forums will feature the nutritional values of dates and ways for identifying good olive oil.
The event has been organized by the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad with the aim of promoting the consumption of healthy fruits and fostering religious teachings about fruits.
