Director of women and family department of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) highlighted the lofty status of women in Islam.
Speaking in a meeting with a delegation of Bolivian media activists, Sediqeh Hejazi quoted the Holy prophet of Islam as saying that “A society is valuable in which women are honored”.
She also referred to Imam Khomeini’s saying ““Man has gone on Meraj (ascended to Heaven) from the lap of a woman”, and said such a saying reflects the elevated status of women in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Ms Hejazi noted that the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran believed that women should be present in society with their capabilities not with their attractiveness.
She rejected the West’s propaganda about violation of women’s rights in Islamic Iran, saying how possibly can Islam violate human rights while it even has injunctions about observing the rights of animals and plants?
Hejazi underlined that Islam has considered a sublime status for human beings, especially for women.
Further in her remarks, the ICRO official highlighted the common grounds between the nations of Iran and Bolivia, and said the two nations have fought against the US imperialism and domination.
