Tehran Quran Activists Convene

The 29th convention of Tehran’s Quran activists was held Wednesday night at Imam Hussein (AS) Mosque.
It was organized by the Quran Culture Center with the aim of helping to promote the culture of the Holy Quran in the city.
Honoring Quran activists and setting the stage for establishment of a Quran activists assembly were among other objectives of the gathering.
It began with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by reciter Ali Khoshnoud followed by eulogies on the occasion of Hazrat Ali Akbar’s (AS) birth anniversary.
Next, Hojat-ol-Islam Abutorabifard, vice-speaker of the Majlis and prayer leader of Imam Hussein (AS)Mosque, delivered a speech in which he praise the Quran Culture House for organizing the event.
He also said that in order for mank to benefit more from the Holy Quran’s teachings and guidance, he needs to strengthen his faith in God, the Revelation and the Resurrection Day.
Later in the program, five Quranic masters of Tehran’s 7th District, Mohammad Jafar Khorramdel, Gholamreza Amerian, Nasrollah Mashouf, Zahra Vezvayi, and Masoumeh Mirzabeiygi were honored.
