English and Azeri Translations of a book titled “Imam Reza (AS) in Sunni Narrations” by Mohammad Mohsen Tabasi have been published.
Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Jalal Husseini, secretary of the Cultural Supreme Council of Astan-e Quds Razavi, said that the copies were published on the occasion of birth anniversary of Imam Reza (AS).
The book includes the results of extensive researches in more than 200 noble sources of Sunni Muslims and other Islamic schools of thought about Imam Reza (AS) which has been published in Keramat Ten-Day Festival.
Husseini added that the objective of the author was to clarify the viewpoint of Sunni Muslims about the infallible Imam (AS), to prevent Wahhabis to draw a wrong picture of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) and to provide a reliable source for researchers.
The deputy of the Center for Islamic Relations and Dissemination said that the author has discussed the life, character, Hadiths, Imamate, miracles and virtues of the Imam’s (AS) pilgrimage in separate chapters with a descriptive and analytical approach.
The first chapter introduces Imam Reza’s (AS) family, titles, children and investigates the reasons of his martyrdom.
The second chapter includes discussions on his scientific character, his jurisprudential, spiritual and social status in Sunnis’ view.
Hadith Selselat-ol-Dhahab is the theme of the third chapter in which those who narrated the hadith from the Imam (AS) have been introduced.
The fourth chapter clarifies the concept of Imamate in both Shia and Sunni schools of thought.
Imam Reza’s (AS) Velayat-e Ahdi (successorship to caliphate), miracles of the imam before his birth and during his life and his pilgrimage and the Sunni eminent scholars who went for the pilgrimage have been discussed respectively in Chpater 5, 6 and 7.
