Course on Tajweed Principles Underway in Glasgow

TEHRAN (IQNA) - An educational course on Tajweed principles and reading the Holy Quran has been organized by “Al-Hoda” Islamic Centre in Glasgow, the UK.

According to ic-el.com, the course, which is presented in English, is for women.

Sobhani, Quran expert of the center, teaches the course on Saturdays for eight weeks.

Promoting Quranic skills of the Muslim women in the society is the main objective of the course.

The center is holding the course in line with a Hadith narrated from Imam Ali (AS): “Learn the Quran for it is the best of speeches, and study it for it is the spring of hearts.”

Quran interpretation classes in English and special programs to commemorate religious occasions are among other activities of the center.
