TEHRAN (IQNA) – Copies of the Holy Quran containing printing errors have been recently discovered in Saudi Arabia.

According to g-24.com website, it is not known where the copies have been printed.

The printing errors in these Qurans are such that change and distort the meaning of the verses and cause misinterpretation.

Abdullah Nour, an Arabic language teacher in Rabiq city who first noticed the errors, said there have been many such copies in a mosque in the city.

He said no one, including the worshippers and prayers leaders had detected the errors before.

Nour stressed that all copies containing errors should be confiscated and their origins determined.

According to Abdul Khaliq al-Zahraei, an official with Abdul Aziz International Airport, they have come from other countries as many such copies are often confiscated by the airport’s customs office.
