TEHRAN (IQNA) – A scholarly conference titled “Holy Quran, Spiritualism and Violence-Free World” is planned to be held in Senegal.

The Iranian cultural center in the West African country will organize the conference on March 16, the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations (ICRO) reported.

Khoshmanesh, head of the Iranian Science Ministry’s Center for Coordination and Development of Quranic Higher Education, and Karimi, a Quran and Hadith instructor of Imam Sadiq (AS) University, will address the two-day conference.

Iranian Cultural Attache in Senegal Seyed Hassan Esmati in a meeting with the director of the Islamic Institute of Dakar earlier this week discussed the organization of the conference.

In the meeting, Esmati highlighted the importance of the Quran in cultural relations and said the conference is aimed at promoting the status of the Quran in the enhancement of Islamic unity.

The director of the Islamic Institute of Dakar, for his part, voiced the institute’s preparedness for joint cooperation with the Iranian cultural center in the field of scholarly Quranic activities.
