Iraqi Quran activists as well as a number of Iranian Qaris and eulogists have attended the Quranic programs.
According to the website of the Dar-ol-Quran center of the Astan, the programs started on March 31 and run for three days.
Abdul Hadi Hassan Handul, an official with the center, said Abdullah Munim al-Silawi, a prominent Qari from the holy city of Najaf opened the program on the first night with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.
He said Sheikh Saad Abu Tabuq, the director of the Dar-ol-Quran center, then delivered a speech on the Seerah and virtues of Hazrat Zahra (SA).
Iranian Qari Mohammad Hassan Movahedi also recited verses from the Quran and Mohammad Ziqami from the holy city of Qom, Iran, recited eulogies in praise of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) during the first night of the program.
