200 Papers Submitted to Nahj-al-Balagha Int’l Congress

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Some 200 papers have been sent to the secretariat of the 17th Nahj-al-Balagha International Congress.
 

Ayatollah Seyed Jamaleddin Dinparvar, head of the Nahj-al-Balagha International Foundation, told IQNA that the congress will be held on September 20.

He added that the deadline for submitting papers have been extended to August 21.

The senior cleric noted that a number of preparatory meetings for the congress have been held so far, with the last one held in Qom last week with grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi in attendance.

According to Ayatollah Dinparvar, the role and status of government officials in elevation of society’s spirituality, strategies for implementing social justice, interactions between people and government, and status and importance of leadership in view of Nahj-al-Balagha are among the themes of the congress.

The holy city of Qom, 140 km south of the Iranian capital of Tehran, will host the 17th edition of Nahj-al-Balagha International Congress.

A number of religious, cultural and scholarly centers and organizations, including the University of Tehran, Al-Mustafa International University, Qom University, Ghadir International Foundation, Islamic Culture and Relations and World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought will cooperate in holding the event.
