TEHRAN (IQNA) – Islamic scholars stressed on the need for unity among Muslims while cautioning against attempts to create sectarian divisions among them.

Speaking at the 9th Shah Jeelan International Conference held at Shadipora in Bandipora district, scholars sought people’s support to fight social evils like liquor sale and drug abuse.

Stating that huge money is being pumped into different Muslim societies including Kashmir by Zionists to create divisions on sectarian lines, the scholars said there is a need to identify such elements which are spreading hatred among Muslims.

The conference was organized by the Karwani Islami International in which thousands of people including women participated.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the event, chief of Karwani Islami International, Moulana Ghulam Rahool Hami said billions of rupees are spent by anti-Muslim elements to divide Ummah on sectarian lines.

"Money is being spent in Kashmir also in order to create wedge among the Muslims,” he said.

Terming Daesh (ISIL) as anti-Islamic, Hami said such evil forces have nothing to do with the Muslims.

"Even our Prophet (PBUH) had predicted about these anti-Islamic elements 1400 years ago. These elements are involved in massacres of innocents while Islam teaches us to love and care even for non-Muslims,” he said.

He said the aim of the conference, which is held annually, is to spread the message of Islam and struggle against social evils.

The speakers urged Muslims to follow the path of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The Zionists are "hell bent upon to divide us on sectarian lines. We must get united to fight these anti- Muslim agendas,” said Allama Asif Ali Qibla.
