Bosnia Ready to Host Iranian Quranic Week

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The organization of Iran’s Quranic Week in the holy month of Ramadan in Sarajevo was discussed in a meeting of the Iranian cultural attaché in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the Mufti of the capital city.

According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Ali Asghar Ameri, the Iranian official said that he had also discussed the plan with head of the Bosnian Muslim Community who had welcomed the Quranic programs of the Iranian center.

He referred to the verse 103 of Surah Ale Imran "And hold fast, all together, to the Rope of Allah and do not divide into groups” and noted that the necessity of Muslims unity has been stressed in more than 50 verses of the Holy Quran.

Ameri elaborated on the programs of the week and said that it will include exhibitions of Quranic artworks by Iranian artists, Quranic sessions to be held with two Iranian Quran reciters and Tawasheeh performance in Persian, Arabic and Bosnian languages.

Also speaking in the meeting, the Mufti of Sarajevo said that the Muslim community of Bosnia welcomes the Quranic programs of the Iranian center.

He further stressed the importance of strengthening unity among Muslims in today’s world.

The Mufti suggested that the Quranic artworks of Bosnian artists will also be presented at the exhibition during the week.
