Quran Competition for Women Underway in Qatif
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The second edition of a Quran competition for women has been organized by the Joint Quran Council of Qatif and Dammam in Saudi Arabia.
According to Qaaf news agency, representatives from 20 committees affiliated to the council have participated in the competition.
5 Quran experts supervise the competition in the categories of Quran memorization, recitation and interpretation.
The competition in recitation category was held with the participation of 59 women.
The first stage of the competition in memorization category was also organized for different age groups of female memorizers of Quran.
The "Umm Al-Hamam” Dar-ol-Quran Center of Qatif is hosting the competition, which will continue for a few days in Quran interpretation category.
Winners in each category will be announced and awarded next month.
